They say everything looks better with odd numbers of things. But sometimes I put even numbers—just to upset the critics. All those little son of a guns. You have to make almighty decisions when you’re the creator. It’s almost like something out of a fairytale book. In this world, everything can be happy.
If there’s two big trees invariably sooner or later there’s gonna be a little tree. I’m gonna add just a tiny little amount of Prussian Blue. Everybody’s different. Trees are different. Let them all be individuals. Talk to trees, look at the birds. Whatever it takes. Imagination is the key to painting. All you need to paint is a few tools, a little instruction, and a vision in your mind.
You better get your coat out, this is going to be a cold painting. Steve wants reflections, so let’s give him reflections. You have to allow the paint to break to make it beautiful. We touch the canvas, the canvas takes what it wants.
We’ll put all the little clouds in and let them dance around and have fun. All you have to do is let your imagination go wild. We have no limits to our world. We’re only limited by our imagination. With practice comes confidence. There is no right or wrong – as long as it makes you happy and doesn’t hurt anyone. Trees cover up a multitude of sins.
In your imagination you can go anywhere you want. There are no limits in this world. Let’s put some happy little bushes on the other side now. Put light against light – you have nothing. Put dark against dark – you have nothing. It’s the contrast of light and dark that each give the other one meaning.

Happy painting, God bless. This is an example of what you can do with just a few things, a little imagination and a happy dream in your heart. We want to use a lot pressure while using no pressure at all. Painting should do one thing. It should put happiness in your heart.
Let that brush dance around there and play. Only think about one thing at a time. Don’t get greedy. I’m gonna start with a little Alizarin crimson and a touch of Prussian blue Little trees and bushes grow however makes them happy.
Didn’t you know you had that much power? You can move mountains. You can do anything. You don’t have to be crazy to do this but it does help. We have no limits to our world. We’re only limited by our imagination. Volunteering your time; it pays you and your whole community fantastic dividends.
You’ve got to learn to fight the temptation to resist these things. Just let them happen. You can do anything here – the only pre-requisite is that it makes you happy. A fan brush can be your best friend. Just think about these things in your mind and drop em‘ on canvas. If you don’t like it – change it. It’s your world. If I paint something, I don’t want to have to explain what it is.
